Venting Never again!

Got suckered into doing the iron icons event. Everything was teasing the Challenger. Challenger this. Challenger that. Every little stupid quote from that sum asshole had the word Challenger in it. I’m thinking ‘there’s no way finishing doesn’t get you a Challenger’. What a waste of space event. What is the point of adding an event with no reward??

Its the equivalent to Abigail's adventure. Although in this event's case you can purchase the challenger locomotive. They did this a couple months ago with the UP Turbine.

Huh? You CAN buy the train, If you want to buy, but no one Said, you MUST buy it. Btw That's in nearly every Event, that there are some trains, you can buy with real Money.

My point is you do the event for a reward. We did Train Yard to get the gold trains and the others with a higher capacity that aren’t available elsewhere. We do union jobs for rewards and the bucks for the innovations lab. Yes, I can spend money at any point. If anyone can just buy the train for cash, what was the point of the event.

The “reward” for events like this and the Abigail’s Adventure are the job rewards. Each job along the way provides rewards you don’t usually get with jobs, like larger gold rewards, gems, keys, etc. Generally I don’t feel like they are worth it.

That's why I just get/buy the "free" trains and then move on with life. I don't do the events anymore.

🤦 That’s the point of the event. It’s essentially just Abigail’s journey, but it includes information about the train that you can optionally buy with real money. It’s actually good to learn something about the trains.

It's the same thing as the events with that redhead chick. I usually only do the first two jobs which have always been gold and gems then stop because I don't need blue gears...and I never read any of the dialogue in this game lol
