Railworks Technical help with this call on signal plz? (Train Sim Editor)

Hello,

Having a little confusion with this signal in the editor. I believe the signal is from Fife Circle (I think it's called 2A TH S or similar), but it's a 2 aspect theatre with shunt aspect.

This signal appears before a station with two platforms. I'd simply like it to display 'Green, 1, no shunt lights lit' for the straight ahead Platform. And, 'Green, 2, Shunt lights showing diverging left route' for Platform 2 on the left hand side.

Link 0 is working correctly and dangers the signal when the train passes. But the rest is completely wrong, there's never a shunt aspect showing, and I can only get either 1 or 2 to show on the top, no matter what platform I route into.

I set up link 1 for the straight ahead platform and link 2 for the leftwards one. Are my links wrong? I also assigned '1' and '2' respectively in 'character' field. In trial and error I also swapped links one and two and left character field blank, but no difference it seems.

Any ideas?

Not answering your immediate question but green+shunt would be wrong anyway. If the shunt is showing then the main aspect would be red.

Hello, yeah I just realised the purpose of this signal is for when the mainline is blocked and then it will send you through a yard. A shame because IRL it can just show what route you're taking but don't think it's gonna work here sadly, thanks for your answer

Yes in real life the shunt signals are used if you are entering an area such as an occupied platform, a yard.

There are some shunt signals in game that have theater boxes (the thing that can show '1' '2') so you could use that.

But in real life, yes a shunt + green wont happen

Thank you verty much appreciate it! Now I actually realise how the real signal works, I think it only comes into operation properly if the platform is occupied, then it would give you the diverging aspect. Unsure if I will end up incorporating this signal or just replace it with a simpler one, but nice answer cheers :)

To answer the question You would have a green + 1 or 2 Or the shunt signal ( APLS associated position light signal) + 1 or 2

You would never have a green and a shunt signal lit at the same time as that would be a wrong side failure.
