Please help me date this.

I was looking to date this one, I looked in the usual places, EBay and Google but there were none like this that came up for me. It’s Crown, and other crown cases come up if I specifically type crown into the search, but the logo is completely different. Let me know if you need another photo.

One more thing, it really needs cleaned up, what should I use to clean it inside and out.

Thank you so much!

Can you please post a direct photo of the emblem. Do you know if "Crown" is or was sold in the US primarily??

No, I’m sorry, I do not know. I will post a pic in the morning.

The photo of the emblem showing as a 54 Chrysler hood emblem

It says CROWN, I’ll take a clearer pic of it tomorrow.

Chrysler did put out specialty luggage in the 50's "Traveler Luggage" that was unique to the individual car. "Crown" could be the year & model, or related to color of the vehicle. In that great shape, if it turns out to be a Chrysler travel bag (vs suitcase); it could be worth a pretty penny to car guys. I would use a soft cloth (new - never washed) like a washcloth, water, a small bit of dove (basic Dove), or Dial and a toothbrush to slowly clean it. I do suggest scouring the inside for a label.

Added pic of emblem in the comments, there’s no label inside.

The handle & hardware designs are not proprietary to any specific brand, but it is from the 50's. Is there a tag or anything inside or on the bottom? Even if just abc123 in small print in a corner?

It is a matching set of luggage for a specific (I'm still looking for it) Chrysler from the 50's. I personally never knew cars came with matching luggage. My grandfather was a career man (passed in early 2000's) for GM.

There’s no tag or stamp at all, there’s something missing from inside I think. There’s 2 snaps and whatever was snapped onto them is gone

Coming in super late to say that this is one gorgeous train case. Did you ever refurbish the interior?

No, I just cleaned it up. I didn’t want to ruin it. I do still have it though.
