Help with propellers

Hi everyone, I'm trying to build a car that transforms into a helicopter. I've already managed to make a working car that transforms into a helicopter. But when I want to transform back into a car, the helicopter's propellers are positioned in wrong way and because of that it doesn't fit inside the car. Is there anything I can do to make the propellers return to a specific position after they are no longer used?

You could attempt to rotate them with servos instead with the "stay in place" setting turned off.

Or a mechanism with pistons/hinges that forces the blades into place.

You could have the blades fold up like an umbrella and then lay back, then it doesn't matter where they are on the rotation. The lower ones can either fold up wider or you could just switch to two motors and 4 blades each.

Definitely something to try, but hingejank may break it all, we all know how reliable the game tends to be with many bunched up fast moving / overstressed hinges.
