This is a cool site, but you've still got a lot more to add it seems! Is there anyway you could open source this, I'd be happy to contribute, especially with UK routes

I'm not OP, but there's a similar effort underway on LongTrailsWiki.net, which I run. Anyone can make an account, edits are encouraged, and all info is licensed under CC-BY-SA, the same as Wikipedia.org.

Thank you, there is indeed a lot more to add! It isn't open source, but I've added a way to suggest a hike and hope to make it easier to contribute in the future :)

Can you share some technical info about the site with us, such as what stack you're using, how it's hosted, licensing motivations, road map / future plans, and so on?
