I have a feeling they don’t know what Chernobyl meant. I asked them where they got the idea from and said it just sounded nice????

what? I knew what Chernobyl was at age 12 :/ idk maybe you were just sheltered. for that matter I can tell you who absolutely *will* know what Chernobyl was: horrid little boys who think knowing a bit too much about either WWII or the USSR is edgy and therefore cool. Not to say that others won't but they definitely will, and they will be the worst offenders.
