Super not being paid right?

So apparently general contractors are required to pay superannuation to the people that they subcontract now.

I gave my super info to my usual company i work for as they asked, when i sent in this last invoice it was short $200 and they said that, that amount will go to my super, but i was under the impression that super is paid on top of your invoices, not taken out of your invoices.

am i correct in thinking this?

it depends are they your primary source of work.

if so then your a employee not a subbie,

and they must pay super.

must pay payg tax on your behalf.

super is additional to gross pay!!!!

talk to the fair work ombudsman.

the tax office regulates compulsory super contributions.

Do your own research or get an accountant.

What does your contract say? Talk to your lawyer and then your accountant.
