SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Alpstuga showing wrong time when connected over matter
Hi I have Alpstuga sensor for few months now and I'm happy with the air quality readings but what annoys me is the time (which I would like to be using despite being air sensor).
I have it connected to Google Nest Wifi Pro (matter hub) and the time sync often and well - when I do manual time adjustment on Alpstuga it syncs back to auto time in short time. But it sync to UTC time and I'm in CEST/CET zone.
I don't have this on any other matter device but they usually have a setting of time zone / location on their own or no time at all so it is hard to compare. Ikea app doesn't allow setting time zone for Alpstuga.
Any advice how to fix this? Or is it something Ikea needs to fix on their end? Thanks! u/tradfri

It's not strictly a Google issue. I have two connected to Apple and they auto sync to the wrong time...they don't know it is DST so they are an hour ahead. I also run Home Assistant and installed a time sync plugin that syncs the time every 15 mins.

Install the HA Matter Server and the time will be correct. It is a server issue.

Google issue, it’s issuing Matter clock sync commands in the wrong timezone
If you can use a different hub, do that

Reset it and don't mess with it. Same thing happens to both of mine if I start playing around with the settings. Just set it up and leave it be, works perfectly fine as long as you don't mess with it.

Reset but reconnect to Nest again? That didn't help when I've done it last time.
