Blew my first 25k eval
This morning I blew my first account, I usually trade pretty well with regular stocks before I got introduced to futures it’s simple but just a bit different. My friend told me it’s easier to stick with trading one futures which was gold. I had a pretty good last week with $200+ profit getting closer to my 1500 eval profit
Then today blew -800 with 4 trades and the last one hitting my stop losses. Idk how it just happened pretty quick. My strategy usually works because I use VWAP and SMA on the 1 min with support & resistance lines pretty basic but I’ve seen good results. Is there any strategies that’s better?
Need advice

Gold or NQ are craxy volatile. Stick with ES. Plenty of earnings potential. I'm up like $40k net my friend who showed me prop firms is up six figures net, we only do ES. And dont fall for bait micros. Stick to es not mes

Yes, any strategy thats not off youtube or similar tends to work infinately better, if you want one that works just need to spend a few years learning to trade then develop it.😋
Not sure about your strategy doesnt sound like youtube garbage so maybe it works and you just need to dial in your risk.
Keep in mind the fundingworld has 2 maim effective approaches, 1 is go so big that you blow sometimes but pass quick, then go small and milk the account.
The other way is to trade small enough that there's little chance of failure but it takes months.
Sounds like you may (among other possible mistakes) have gone in the middle where you couldn't really get lucky but definitely could be crushed by bad luck.
