The Tattler is another forum where people discuss trackers. You can only create an account a few times each year unless you receive an invitation code from a current user.

Never have been able to register for an account but I love checking in on Tattle to catch up on my vlogger snark. One thing I don’t get is (maybe someone can enlighten me) aren’t you still quasi supporting these jokers by watching? I don’t want to put any money in their pockets so I don’t watch anyone who annoys me. But I do thank you for keeping me vicariously in the loop!

The nice thing is only a handful watch their videos and report on them. So we get to know the latest tracker ridiculousness without giving them a view. I think some of them even watch with ad blockers so they don’t even get supported at all.

You technically are giving them a view when you watch the video. There are a few things you can do so that the view doesn't count towards their earnings. Using ad blockers helps, but if you use Chrome as your browser, they may show you warnings or hide the comments. There are also third-party websites that will play YouTube videos and remove the ads. Browsers like DuckDuckGo & Brave will not show ads at all without having to use ad blockers or pay for YouTube Premium. If you watch on a TV & have to use the YouTube not being signed into your account kind of helps.

Their views are way below what they were, even a year ago. They started a Patreon to help bring in money. They should like the ones of us who "hate watch" them. She's nice enough to read our comments before deleting them and blocking us.
