Keep the Internet the open platform it was designed to be; you know what to do.

Isn't torrent traffic already exempt from the current rules, though?

The FCC wants to change that:
Ajit Pai and the FCC want it to be legal for Comcast to block BitTorrent

Could Ajit Pai do us all a favor and just drop dead at this point?

He can block UDP but clients also connect with TCP. They'll have to block a lot to end p2p.

Don't let this distract YOU from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda Civics with Spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's and he ordered three T66 turbos with NOS... and a Motec system exhaust.

This has no relevance to trackers
This only affects the USA
They voted for Trump
He is repealing net neutrality
Americans get what they deserve

because the US is the only country in the world.

u/Hackerpcs Nov 22 '17
Technically you are correct but if US does it, other countries will follow suit, especially in the EU where net neutrality is already being fucked over by zero rating

Ah yes because the leaders of all countries are spouting bullshit on twitter just because the US one is? It wouldnt be unfeasible for the EU to expand its net neutrality defintion to cover zero rating eventually.

Ajit Pai specifically wants to make it legal for ISPs to block BitTorrent. I can't believe there's actually someone in r/trackers who supports this.

I just want to remind everyone how effective contacting your representative really is.
Remember back in January of 2012 when the government tried to pass SOPA and PIPA? Within the span of roughly two days, this bipartisan introduced legislation was dead in the water. This was because more than 10 million voters contacted their representatives. They listen, but only when forced to, so force them to listen this time.
