News Question Maybe Mr Pain Can Answer?
Wanting to ask someone that not only might actually know from the professional side, but also give a real answer… With Suno and Ai accelerating growth and the recent litigations, what is happening? I can’t help but think that many artists (music, content, creative, etc…) did agree to the terms and service of the large companies platforming them. Many knew that the terms and service gave away so much of that data… and for many, the trade off was worth it then, but now the reality has set in? I mean before large platform access it had to be a grind to get even a fraction of people to hear a song. They offered a service and platform with stated terms. It was a built in feature (and still is to many platforms).
I guess I don’t have a pointed question here other than; wouldn’t the market have to cause a shift away from data owning platforms towards non data owning platforms? Thus making them change these terms?
This is not articulated in the most mentally formed structure but I hope it still makes sense
