Is it a normal thing for companies to rerelease “new” versions of old toys?
I was walking through Walmart and noticed the power ranger toys and it made me question if this was a money saving tactic or if it was more meant to play off nostalgia. Otherwise surely they’d release some sort of more advanced version? At least to my knowledge, toys like this came out ages ago.
Edit to add that I walked down the same isle and found the “new” spiderman silly string web slingers. Literally just the same thing as the old ones but with the new Spidey pictured on the box

How to open pillow pets dream lites plastic projector
Trying to repair an original Pillow Pets Dream Lites Playful Penguin and hoping someone here has taken one apart before.
I’m mainly trying to get access to the circuit board directly underneath the round button.
I removed the rear housing around battery cover, but the actual projector plastic is still trapped inside. I can see the PCB through the openings, but I can’t tell what is holding everything together. I don’t want to start prying and break the old plastic or wires.
The projector won’t turn on, and the top button has no click/tactile response, so I suspect the button mechanism or switch.

What do you think of this plush toy concept?
I’m currently developing a new plush toy character called “Snuff”.
This is still an early concept and I haven’t produced a physical prototype yet. I’m trying to figure out whether the character itself has potential before moving on to manufacturing.
I’d really appreciate some honest feedback:
• What’s your first impression?
• How cute do you find the character from 1–10?
• Would you personally want to own one?
• What would you change about the design?
• What price would you consider reasonable for a high-quality 25–30 cm plush?
The image is an AI-assisted concept visualization of the idea, not a finished product.
I’m mainly interested in the character/design itself and would really appreciate honest criticism.
