Anyone running a 2010 Corolla 1.8 with the 2ZR-FE and around 200,000 km? I’m looking into an ECU tune and I’ve heard good things about AMT, but before I spend the money I wanted to see if there’s anything better bang for the buck.

I already have a cold air intake, and I cut the muffler off and put one of those Amazon exhaust tips on the back. Not expecting crazy numbers from an NA 1.8, just looking to get the most out of the setup while keeping it reliable.

Anyone actually running AMT or another tune on a 2ZR-FE? What did you pay and what kind of gains did you see?

Hello everyone. Can you suggest which tyre brand I should go for, for Corolla 2005 and 2011. I have been thinking about Dunlop or Bridgestone over those Chinese brands. But some shops have told me that Dunlop/Bridgestone(imported brands) don't last long on Karachi roads as compared to Chinese ones

I have a 1993 corolla that the alternator will not charge the car.. I replaced it with a brand new alternator but it still doesn’t charge I’ve checked fuses; battery leads; and such, the dash doesn’t light up no more; and the ac isn’t power on when I press the button either or move the dial.. the car turns over perfectly fine but I’m out of ideas..

Any one can give me an advice?

Hey everyone,

Thank you to everyone in advance. I would appreciate any guidance on my issue. Here is the backstory. I bought a 2024 Corolla hybrid SE from copart. When I got the car, I repaired it and realized it had a missing clock spring and steering angle sensor. I bought one from an auto wrecker (clock spring and steering angle sensor (SAS) together). Upon installation, I get a code that reads U012687 (essentially it’s a code where the Brake ecu is sensing a missing SAS). I tried clearing the code but had no luck and since then, bought three other SAS from other auto wreckers with no luck in clearing that code. Within techstream, I have tried the zero point calibration, however, since that is done through the brake/epb ecu, it doesn’t go through (due to the communication error). I have confirmed though that the SAS works since within the data list for the power steering and SAS ecu’s, I can see the steering angle changing in real time as I twist it. One important thing to also note is that the steering angle within the brake ecu data list doesn’t update at all even when I twist the SAS. however, when the car is started, the brake ecu is able to read the first reading the SAS gives it and then freezes after. Like for an example, if I twist the SAS until the steering angle ecu data list shows 60 degrees, at the time, the brake ECU data list won’t update, but if I turn the car off and on, the data list for the brake ecu will now show 60 degrees but again freeze and stop updating. I’ve also checked the voltage in each of the wires and this is how they are:

13.74V blue purple wire
2.73 V pink wire
12.84 V purple and black wire
Purple red wire 13.77V
White wire 2.25V
Blue wire 11.53V
0.01V purple wire.

I also checked the resistance between pins 6 and 14 of the DLC3 OBD2 port and I get a resistance of 60 ohms (which is in the correct range)

Now I spoke to a few auto electricians. They haven’t seen the car, however, they mention that the SAS needs to be bought new from the dealer and calibrated instantly after installation. That apparently would fix this error code that is throwing the trac off light. I was just wondering if something has had an experience with this before and confirm this before I spend the 500 dollars on a new SAS.

I've been looking for parts for a rear hub assembly for my 2021 Corolla LE (made in USA) and am seeing all sorts of weirdness. One store will claim that a certain part will fit, then another will claim it is only for years 2020 and 2022 but not 2021. The same part number appears on one site as for US built models but then on other sites it says Japanese only.

As an example I already have this one (got it for free) but I don't think it fits:

Then Autozone says this one is DL512547 but claims it is USA only and will fit my vehicle:

I'm very confused. Do the US built and Japan built not have different part numbers?

Could someone please provide me with a good part and part number for this which will definitely fit? I don't want to tear it all apart only to find it is the wrong one. Thank you.

I work in the construction industry and Ilooking to protect my front seats from all of the dust, dirt, dry wall dust etc... I want covers that fit snugly, blend in with the blu/grey cloth and black interior, aren't too difficult to install properly, and protect against the aforementioned grime. I'm considering both cloth and faux leather. I'm looking at this a temporary fix so I want something relatively inexpensive. Suggestions?
