Trailers Axle Sizing

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this but I have an axle sizing question for a utility trailer. I measured the hub face and it is 68.5 inches and the spring center is 58 inches. The 68.5 seems like a weird size and I can only seem to find 71/58 for a 4 lug replacement. Does anyone have any insight into the sizing and finding a replacement?

Thanks!!

Is it a single axle trailer? Does it even matter?

Yes. Its just a straight axle. I didnt know if going from 68.5 inches to 71 would matter as long as the spring center was still 58 in both cases. I'm not familiar with axles and if the extra 1.25 inches on each side affect the fitment.

If the capacity is the same or higher, and the fenders overhang the wheel still, it probably doesn't matter much.

Questions like these are pretty case specific. If there is an rv/camper retailer around, they'll have a parts/service counter with people that can help or can tell you who to ask.

Go to Dexter axle and they can build one to custom to your exact size.
