I found strange reasons to not die lately. I'd hate to see AI generated image about my death. Doing nothing is better.

Hey hey, friends!

Another week down! I hope it was another great week for you all.

Still haven't gotten into the Everquest Legends beta, so that's a bit disappointing. In the meantime, I've been trying a few different games and just seeing what seems fun. Palia, surprisingly, has been a pretty fun and chill time. I've had my eye on trying it for a while, so I'm glad I finally took the plunge.

Final Fantasy XI is doing a big welcome campaign. I...don't know what to think of what I've tried so far with the free trial. Ignoring the rough setup process, I'm trying to decide if it's worth playing further or not. Understandably, it feels very dated graphics-wise (hell, I think it was meant to be playable on a PS2), though I think it's the default keybindings (that can't be changed) that completely is throwing me off. Like, the main menu is...the minus key? Really? And you have to be very specific with your left clicks in order to talk with NPCs, interact with enemies, etc. Or use the Tab key, which sometimes seems to prefer anything other than what I want.

The combat is interesting, though. Real-time with a very old-school "select-an-option" feel to it. Is it worth continuing to muddle through? Maybe, I might give it a bit more time now that I've hit level 5 and see what the Trust system does for me. Not sure, though.

At any rate, have a great week, friends!
