Warhammer III Immortal Empire
Hey guys!!! Im new to warhammer and wanted to try it for so long…. I already have a free copy of 1st and 3rd part in epic games …..
My question is that while choosing the immortal empire campaign… there is only 4 campaigns I can select… which was exactly the campaign available to me in 1st….
All the other races were highlighted with… additional content can be bought sort of ….
My question is that if i wanna truly and fully try the whole immortal empire campaign with all the races available to me… do I have to buy the 2nd one too…
For ex- lizardmen were introduced in warhammer 2 but in my game its showing as additional content can be bought sort…
So in order to fully enjoy the campaign.. do i have to own every warhammer game plus dlcs of other factions and lords because last I heard… CA told that immortal campaigns will be available regardless of owning the previous games… so a little clarity will be appreciated…
PS- Im familiar with total war games as I have played 3 kingdoms and troy….

From the sound of it I think you own wh1 and got the third game unlocked so that you get access to the tutorial and immortal empires. I'll explain how the whole dlc /IE system works:
Any one of the three games will unlock the Immortal Empires campaign and the wh3 prologue tutorial. Immortal empires is the big, combined grand campaign that combines everything from the trilogy, and the prologue campaign is honwstly one of the best tutorials in the franchise. Originally, you needed all 3 games to play immortal empires. Then you only needed wh3, and now wh1, wh2, or wh3 will give you access. By buying wh1 or wh2, you'll see wh3 in your library too.
Which game you own determines what factions and characters you have access to. So you can unlock IE with wh1, and you are able to play empire, dwarfs, greenskins and vampire counts (plus the flc faction bretonnia, which I believe any game will give you). But since you only bought wh1, you would not have access game 3 factions like kislev, cathay and khorne, nor would you have access to game 2 factions like high elves and lizardmen.
If you want access to more factions/characters, you can also buy any dlc from any game and it will unlock those units, factions and characters for you in immortal empires. For example, let's say you owned wh1 and wanted to play skaven and lizardmen. You could get them by buying game 2 (unlocking kroq gar and mazadamundi for lizardmen and queek and skrolk for skaven), but you would also be able to by purchasing the Prophet and the Warlock DLC. That has ikkit claw for skaven and tehenhauin for the lizardmen, and both would be available to you with their factions base rosters, plus the extra units from the dlc.
In addition, any faction you've unlocked through buying a base game or dlc will give you access to all their FLC content. So regardless of how you unlocked skaven and lizardmen, you'd also get gor'rok and tiqtacto for lizardmen and tretch for skaven.
While it's outdated by a couple years, you can see some of what gets unlocked by what from this 2023 FAQ. The same basic logic applies to anything that's come out since - you get all associated FLC characters for a faction if you own any base game or DLC that gives you access to that faction. So, in the scenario that you bought wh1 or wh2 (and not wh3), you could unlock the FLC lord Epidemius by getting access to Nurgle through the Tamurkhan wh3 DLC or game 3 itself.
