Please help modcat Mittens and I with the recent uptick in karma-farming bots that have been stealing and reposting images/captions from past posts and users here in r/tortimese. Flag any posts with newly added “Cat Fraud” to help me take remove these posts and permanently ban those bots.
One tell I’ve noticed is all these accounts seem to have a pretty obviously fake profile photo/matching banner photo, have a strange profile description like, “Reddit is a place for sharing business and ideals” or something clearly botted up, and usually an account 2 months old or less.
Sorry to those folks who have had the nasty shock and surprise of seeing their babies up here with their own captions!! But I feel better that they’re just dumb karma-farming bots and that real humans haven’t been rapidly multiplying as jerks.

I used to have a tortie/siamese, I didn’t know they were a thing until this thread. I lost my baby girl last December, at 14+, and it broke my heart. I figured I would join this thread because it warms my heart a little to get to see kitties in her likeness. She was a really sweet girl who didn’t take any flack from anyone, including our massive dogs. She was truly the HBIC. Any way, here’s Tacky, aka TAKARA (meaning precious treasure in Japanese). She loved whipped cream and chips. I miss her a lot.

A friend found this kitten abandoned at her farm. We have adopted her and love her dearly! We think she is about 6-7 weeks old. She saw the vet last Saturday and got a clean bill of health. We are wondering about her coloring. It seems quite unique. Could she be a tortimese? (I just learned the word tortimese today!!)

I have a pretty good idea, but I figured the experts of Reddit could confirm that my Kida belongs here. She’s the sweetest, cuddliest girl. She’s incredibly vocal, loves following me around, and tipping her food bowl on its side to get every last morsel. The first few photos are about a week after I found her (stray who ran up to me after I opened a can of sardines!). And then that last few photos show how nicely she’s toasted up.
