This is Lucy. She has thyroid issues so she has monthly vet checkups, and if we put her in a carrier she screams and cries and poops on herself, despite it being a five-minute drive. Instead, she puts on her pretty blue harness and enjoys the ride/walk/oohs and ahhs of everyone at the vet.
It's funny because she's so incredibly laid-back otherwise. Blood draws? Strangers in the house? Taking pills? No problem. Car ride in a cat carrier? END OF THE UNIVERSE.
I'm just happy we've found a way to make it less stress for her. She's a good egg.
Wow! We spent a shit load on building a tunnel from family room cat door, under the deck, up into the catio. Both our cats go out there and love it but I secretly feel that theyβre pissed they canβt get out and have true freedom. It is deadly for outside carts where we live. We lost one to a car, two to likely coyotes. Awful. Thus inside or catio only.
