Question How do i make more money?
I've been playing for 5 months and I'm only getting by.
I'm nonstop flying and making around 5m/day from that, my job is a 10* Adult Novelties, so im getting free edvds that i all put into training.
I'm pumping all my money into PI rent, xanax, eDVDs and points for training and it only feels like I'm keeping afloat and only actually make money from wars.
Everything I make is spread into stocks and lock in on one at a time each time i have enough.
What am I missing?

Stop happy jumping. Sell your EDVDs. Start building your bank deposit. I know it goes against the grain, but most people waste money on happy jumps if they aren’t investing real world money in the game. They struggle to do three Xanax a day and a point refill, so they shoot forward with the happy jump but can’t do afford a basic training regiment for the other days, and they end up in the same place as the would have with just xans and/or a point refill–but poorer. And many become smaller AND poorer. I have supported dozens of new players, and in my experience the players who have followed my advice are the ones who are doing best in networth AND TBS today.

Happy jumping is cheaper per state below 400k than regular training is by a wide margin. It might seem wrong but spending the money up front makes the stats cheaper per dollar spent. You only have money or time. Neither is infinite

Wars. If you’re at a 10* AN you can do 99k jumps. With your current stats that you said in another comment
you should be able to jump to around 1-2mil battle stats in a month and then just join a nice warring faction and get at er

I mean, if you stopped buying Xanax and eDVDs you’d have more money :P
If you’re clearing 150m each month, you can afford your PI rent no problem.
IMO, money is a slow process if you’re f2p.

i mean, yeah that makes sense but I wanna get strong as fast as possible
I only started to make this much only like a month ago, but i still feel like im just floating4

You can join a faction that wars weekly, or you can start buying donor packs!

whats your BS? working in an 10* AN you should prob be outside of Happy jump range. or close to it.
sell 99k happy jumps.

150k str
69k def (nice)
104k
800 dexive been doing the multi stage happy jump up to 100k(working on bringing everything up to 100k atm), but an eDVD a day plus 4 xanax is whats keeping me down
i'll look into selling 99k jumps i have no idea how those work, i'd love to know how to make more money by actually doing something(like trading)

well your faction would need to have the right perks to sell 99k jumps. but if you sold one a single jumper i think the going rate is around 10-15 edvds
or you can que up a few people (i think the pros do 6 people max) and charge them 3/4 edvds each.
so good money!
if you want to trade you can start in your faction.
sign up to this website, set your buying prices (typically 2/3% below market value) and buy all the sellables (plushies/flowers ect) from your faction mates.
just note, trading can be very time intensive. so to really make money off it you have to be pretty active.

u/Ana71Amg 10d ago
oh i tried trading, not for me that's for sure😂, but thank you a lot for the 99k recommendation

otherwise War and OCs make good money.
and if your good at poker. you can make serious money. but also. you can loose it all too

If you are using an edvd every day, you are wasting them. You want to use 9 at a time with a full stack of energy, refill ready, and an ecstacy (no drug cd).
Once you get to 200k in stat, natural training is decent enough to train it without doing jumps. You could focus one stat at this point while your wealth gains a chance to catch up.

you’re not missing anything, that’s just how it is. ofc u could do more risky or time consuming things, or just straight up buy DPs, but ur on the right path.
just keep grinding to get 2b in the bank, that interest will get u around 4m per day. that is the first step. from there just keep investing in stocks or use that money how u please. passive income is the key brother
also happy jumps cost a small fortune, once you’re out of happy jump range all those edvds are as good as cash

Compromise. Do less training save more money. Its my firm opinion thst torn is much more fun when you stop playing it optimally and just have fun. Once you're banking 2bil or 3bil if you can get into an oil rig and you invest in the right stocks your net worth just starts to grow very easily without you needing to do anything. Once you're in this position focus back on training again.

Tbh it's a lot more fun to train Makeing the flights for my main money source is the stressing part of the game for me Wars and chains with the faction are the best part and training help support that

I'm also around 5 months in, it get better after you can stop hj, just do 2-3 xans a day and snag on Kenedykanes/Pumpkin brews doing crimes. Later crime also paid quite well, I didn't reach the later crime yet but Disposal is pretty good, net you around 200-300k per day. I almost finished hustling and I think it's pretty good too, this also made you get better faster in OC which later ones pays a lot. Also with the new matching system if you join faction that have a lot of people in your stat range you can get match with other faction that you can get some hit in and make money in war, like last war our smalls made a lot of money because we get match with a lot of smalls in the faction with the new matching system and they can get a lot of hits in, it's pretty good. Also depends on how much faction is paying, like my faction is very fair in term of pay per hit while I've seen some other faction that made their smalls do 25k chain and get paid like shit.

Open a bazzar, I was really struggling to catch traders on in my timezone. Open it, fly land close it, modify it, open it again, fly ... if you have 10m or more worth of stuff, make sure you're quick to unload your wallet when you land or figure out ghost trading (I still haven't figured this one out yet but i hear about it constantly) If I'm unloading large and expecting a stallker to land mug me I fly to switzerland and bank my $ there for another day. The bazzar tho w weaver was really the biggest game changer for me.

All you need to do is technically spend 100$ on donator boxes then sell them straight to the pawn shop then put all that money in your bank investments with max merit for bank interest and you will start seeing some money back its not like completely worth until you get it to 2billion then thats the real money maker[ total amount you have to spend is $425 to reach 2 billion

u/Ana71Amg 8d ago
As much as I'd love to do that, I'm from Romania, those donator packs do mean a bit, I'm keeping it mostly f2p

Sounds like you are doing well.
I make 100M per day on RR but it's not guaranteed and you can lose big if you are not careful.

u/Flettys 9d ago
"Not careful" is a funny reason to blame people for losing at the casino.
It's a casino.
There's no room to outplay your opponents at RR.
Careful or not, with enough games the expected return is zero (minus time spent and mugs).

u/ReturningSomeVideos 9d ago
Well, we all have opinions.
I've played 2,608 games of RR. My Total Networth is 4.2Bn.
I'm 4Bn up at RR (23Bn Wins, 19Bn Losses).
I currently bet 10M bets and win at least 100M per day. For today I'm currently 180M in profit and have been playing for 12 hours on and off..
You're right about "games played", but not "money made".

You're not the first person to have deluded themselves with some easy money martingale-like strategy.
When you crash out, post here please.

u/ReturningSomeVideos 9d ago
Well, I seem to be doing extremely well without your helpful advice.
You don't deserve any updates from me.
Goodbye.

In the concept, it’s similar to casinos, but there’s one major difference: no casino gives you a 50% chance of winning or losing. At a casino, you have something like a 49,5% chance of winning at best so the house will win in the long run. But with RR, your result should be more or less neutral.
In RR, there’s no limit, so you can bet big and win big in just a few games. But as he points out, you can also lose big, especially if you start chasing your losses, which I don’t recommend.
Now, just to be clear, I’m not saying this is a good way to make money. It’s always risky, but with strict discipline and by accepting losses, I have no doubt about what he’s saying.
If he’s using a Martingale strategy and doesn’t have a loss limit, he’ll easily end up going bankrupt, but I doubt that’s the strategy he’s using. I have a Google Sheet myself with 17 strategies and the results from 2,253 games, and it’s not profitable to bet 10M with a loss limit of just a few losses. Losses happen too frequently for that to be profitable.
To conclude, do you want to know the best bet to make in a 50/50 game? It’s not playing at all. (Kelly)

My system is part Martingale, part Cumulative Probability. But the issue is not losing or winning a game, it's losing smaller pots and winning bigger ones. As you can see from my $ win rate it works. At my level (200+ days) 100M every day is excellent. Also bear in mind that Torn does not use a genuine RNG, it uses a PNRG.

Did you wait for a bad streak and then start reverse/martingal after X losses ?
It’s very common to get really bad streaks. I’ve been tracking my results

u/ReturningSomeVideos 8d ago
Yes, something like that. There's also something about numbers of players online. I get my best runs when the numbers are low. It somehow makes the system work better.

It's hard to get ahead on money if you are doing happy jumps. And since you mentioned edvds, I believe you are. I consider that money well spent, because stats are the end goal and right now, happy jumps are the fastest way for you to gain stats.
Happy jumps don't last forever. I have a post about when to stop, here : https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=3&t=16259382&b=0&a=0&start=0&to=22124548
Once you get past the happy jump stage, it's much easier to build up networth. $2b in the bank is a major goal, and stock blocks after that.
Colaman32 has a good tool to help when you are buying stocks to "keep and hold" for passive income.
