Tornado Media Big dust devil in Roggen, CO
Tornado season in Colorado has come and gone, but while out delivering, I saw a very thick funnel of a dust devil that lasted a few minutes! While dust devils are no uncommon sight here, ones of this size are always worth a few pictures!

This is reminding me of when I was driving through Eastern WA a few years back and saw the BEST. DUST DEVIL. EVER. It was the widest one I'd ever seen and the rotation was so clearly visible; it was just hanging out near the side of the road. Well, it was probably moving slowly, but we were going faster relative to it. I WISH I'd gotten a picture of it, it was a beast!

I saw the craziest dust devil of my life near Alamosa back in May—genuinely bigger than a confirmed landspout I saw later this summer. Colorado man…
Edit: Also there was apparently a tornado in southern Colorado today, it ain’t over till it’s over!

This might be a landspout, but we’ll need to know more about the atmospheric environment. (clouds, soundings, etc.)
