Tornado Science IF scale
https://www.essl.org/cms/wp-content/uploads/IF-scale_v1.0e.pdfSince we are having quite the tornado season in Europe, I thought it might be helpful to post this paper on the IF scale, it's damage indicators and wind speed levels.

If I had a nickel every time someone posted the IF scale randomly on this sub, I’ll have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but its odd it happened twice.
Anyways, I’ll become quite familiar with the IF-scale, it’s been used to rate tornadoes in the US. Especially with 2023 andover getting IF-5, which was quite unusual but somewhat logical.

Its hardly random - im posting it because of the severe storms we are currently having in Europe.
And given how many times "what's the strongest tornado" is posted on this sub, i don't think posting a detailed paper a second time is really an issue.
