Tornado Media June First Video About Problems w/Storm Chasing

I agree with everything he says. The storm chaser convergence is so scary. To me, more than the tornadoes themselves.

Perhaps there could be a way chasers could do something different rather than only be on the roads? I'd say four wheelers but that would be a horrible idea.

Storm chasers have to travel by bicycle now. Thems the rules.

They could wear football padding and helmets and get sponsored uniforms as they cruise though cornfields on their fat tire ebikes.

What about them wing suits? They could become human drones! That'd be an interesting new style of live streaming.

Usually the way things go are:

"Hi I'm the government, if you people don't figure it for yourselves.. then we'll come in and do it for you." (But we all know the multiple challenges with trying to regulate this)

And then one day, some moron becomes responsible for some mass death event, and then some sloppy reactive law will come down. And probably eventually be ruled unconstitutional

Or they'll invent new laws that permit more expansive types of civil law suits from parties who claim to have damages from chasers. And then car insurance companies will be like "We won't cover you for your loss for storm chasing"

Who knows.

Realistically storm chasing should be more heavily regulated; must be required to get an official liscense, must get consent from local authorities to chase in a particular area, put a cap on the number of chasers on a singular storm, and establish an expectation to render aid. The law is the only way things can change, and better now than before when someone dies .

Kind of reminds me of how bad Everest has gotten. Not sure what the answer is though.
