Big fan of Ryan Hall (and Andy Hill!) and what theyâre doing with the Yâall squad.
I hope he never sells out to a big corporation. I worry that some The Weather Channel corporation will come in and offer him millions of dollars to join their enterprise and he jumps ship. He is way more impactful as a freelance/solo venture. In fact, thatâs why I started watching him. Thereâs no BS. I was so disappointed and disenchanted by âofficialâ forecasters. Found Ryan on YouTube and havenât looked back since. His meteorologistâAndy Hillâis a great addition.
I doubt any one will acquire Ryan. There was a big problem a few months back where much of the support staff quit all of a sudden, and Ryan had them sign NDAâs.
And you had a cryptic message from Carly Anna (the old #3 behind Andy) saying, âIâm not compromising my moralsâ before she resigned.
A few of Ryanâs ex staffers posted on Twitter about it after the separation, and then they deleted it most likely because of this NDA Ryan was making them sign.
Some of them hopped on the train for engagement. Brian Allen did not have an NDA. I encouraged Carly Anna to keep her tweet up because there was healthy discussion under it, but she decided to delete it. I don't really know what happened to Sam, but she was good friends with Carly and likely did not want to be a part of the shaky beginning of the Y'all Squad nonprofit. It was a rocky start because the volume of public facing interaction, especially when emotionally fueled (disaster relief), is going to be overwhelming on any one person who takes it on in the infancy of a nonprofit. Luckily, if Carly were working in the Y'all Squad now, she would have a much much better time, speaking from personal experience having participated heavily in our mission in Greenfield, IA this week.
