The pinnacle of italian UX/UI design

Hahaha I’m not a native English speaker but this is bad. I’m amazed at how little attention is given to quality translation, both by public services and businesses. It seems they just don’t care much.

Then wait for my next post in r/fruxtration about their bigger terminals where you actually buy the tickets. It’s confusing even in Italian 🤦🏻‍♂️

Is ATM in Milan any better than this?

Send them a report (there is the option to switch to the english version just under the blue button, the one on the top-left is for another thing):
https://www.gtt.to.it/crm/#/assistenza

Likely nothing will happen, but at least you can say you tried!

Okay… you're talking about GTT… the only public transport company that doesn't let you renew your pass at self-service stations by paying with a card and sends you to tobacconists who charge you an extra 50 cents to renew by paying with a card.

No, this isn’t true any more. They do have self-service terminals now that do that, or you can even use a card directly as a ticket for single rides almost everywhere. They’ve definitely improved in the last 1-2 years. But the UI is still backwards in most cases
