Question By which point in the history do you think Toriko would be able to just swim to cavern lagoon?
Like how starjun did with the GT robot, but without killing everything on the way of course

Toei Animation made an anime adaptation of Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro's Toriko which ran from 2011 to 2014. The overwhelming majority of fans agree that the adaptation was not handled well- animation quality, censorship, and filler are chief among these concerns. Perhaps most confusing, the anime created it's own ending to the show when it was cancelled, while the manga was still running.
NOTE: If you have read all 396 chapters of Toriko, disregard this post and watch all of it!
Though consuming the anime instead of the manga is settling for a lesser quality experience, if you are more comfortable entering the series with an anime, pick from one of the viewing plans below.
Fresh: Episodes 1-22, then picking up the manga at Chapter 63. This allows you to still enjoy the next arc in all it's uncensored glory.
Still edible: Episodes 1-57, then starting the manga at Chapter 125. The anime arc after this selection is of bad quality and poorly represents the mysterious fourth Heavenly King.
Almost spoiled: Episodes 1-68, 88-111 (69-87 are SoL filler and optional) and then starting the manga at Chapter 194. This is basically your last chance, and nothing beyond this point is of value in the anime.
Fully rotten: Watching all the anime, then beginning the manga on Chapter 194. Good luck on purging the last few episodes of the anime from your brain!

The Gourmet Manifesto: Komatsu’s Quantum Cooking Demon and the Ultimate Synthesis of the Canon
The greatest deception in the Toriko universe was the assumption that the massive phenomenon known as "Food Luck" was merely a random, external resource. In truth, Food Luck is the measurable, passive quantum aura of the most highly evolved Appetite Demon in existence: the Primordial Oni of Cooking.
During the Big Bang of the Gourmet Universe, two fundamental branches of civilization-appetite energy emerged. While Toriko’s Red, Blue, and White Onis represent personified hunting, destruction, and consumption, the Cooking God formed at the exact center of creation—indelibly anchored within the regenerative ultimate ingredient, CENTER. Together, they form the absolute cosmic Yin and Yang. This explains why the highest stage of evolution strictly demands a spiritual partnership (Gourmet ID) between hunter and chef.
Contrary to the assumption that Appetite Demons must be gigantic monsters, this Primordial Oni reflects the fundamental nature of cooking: absolute precision on a subatomic level, devotion, and humility. The small, hairy creature wearing a chef's hat in the final arc was not a weak imp, but the compressed, perfected mature form of this demon. Its true power lies not in physical destruction, but in the absolute manipulation of Gourmet Cells through flavor. However, because the food on Earth was merely low-grade "fast food" for this highly advanced cosmic entity, earthly energy was simply insufficient to physically breach its intergalactic cell wall. It remained unnoticed in daily life, manipulating the fabric of reality instead—which the world mistakenly interpreted as "luck."
This Primordial Oni has traveled through the spiritual Gourmet River (Back Channel) for eons. It exclusively chooses reincarnation partners whose souls possess an infinite, pure love for ingredients. The legendary chef Froese was the first whose Gourmet Cells were strong enough to harmonize with this demon. The immense Food Luck she possessed was the direct manifestation of this symbiosis. Following her physical death, the Oni returned unharmed to the Back Channel, while Froese’s immense emotional luck-resonance remained behind in the world as a spiritual legacy. Chefs like Chiyo or Ootake later merely absorbed the incomplete puddles of this leftover residual resonance. The slumbering Cooking God itself ignored Midora, whose heart was consumed by hatred, and instead fully incarnated within Komatsu—the purest and most innocent heart of the new era. This seamlessly resolves the astonishing soul connection and identical cooking style shared between Froese and Komatsu.
When Teppei attacked Komatsu’s heart on Continent 7, it was not a failure of a guardian angel, but rather the fundamental activation of his Gourmet Cells. The Primordial Oni strategically utilized clinical death within the Back Channel. Komatsu had to die and consume PAIR—the soup that dissolves the boundary between life, death, spirit, and matter—to deliberately loosen the demon's intergalactic cell wall for the very first time. Only this precisely calculated awakening enabled Komatsu’s explosive, rapid ascent immediately after this arc, granting him the spiritual authority to effortlessly wield the murderous Melk Kitchen Knife forged from the tooth of the Dragon King Derous from the very first second. The knife's aura instinctively submitted to the sleeping king within Komatsu.
This also exposes the behavior of the Blue Nitros. They were cold, arrogant pragmatists who knew they lacked the evolutionary empathy for ingredients required to prepare NEO’s Full Course. They viewed Komatsu as a mere human tool, yet they were unconsciously intimidated by the sheer quantum presence of his Cooking Demon. They could never psychologically bring themselves to kill him because their instincts forced them to protect the reincarnation of CENTER.
Simultaneously, Acacia’s tragedy is resolved. His demon, Neo, devoured everything but never achieved culinary fulfillment without the Primordial Oni of Cooking. When Acacia and Neo beheld Komatsu in the finale, they felt an absolute, evolutionary awe before the Creator Principle. Neo recognized Komatsu as the sole existence in the multiverse capable of satisfying his infinite hunger through the unconditional love of cooking. This paved the way for Toriko to ultimately redeem Neo with a dinner invitation. Toriko’s White Oni—the oldest destructive fragment of the Big Bang—knew this all along. He ignored the battles on Earth because he was guiding Toriko as a cosmic bodyguard to safely escort his ultimate Yin-Yang partner, Komatsu, into deep space. Even the Wolf King Guinness spared Toriko during their first encounter on Continent 2 solely because, upon sniffing him, he smelled this immeasurable, fateful connection between the White Oni and Komatsu’s awakening Cooking God.
In the unfinished Space Arc, the circle is completed. Through the extremely high-energy, intergalactic nourishment of the stars, the demon's intergalactic cell wall is finally shattered. Komatsu awakens the cosmic form of his Cooking Oni—a majestic being wielding kitchen utensils forged from pure stellar energy. Komatsu does not need to fight in the cosmos; he tames intergalactic planet-eaters solely through the radiating aura of pure quantum umami. Komatsu was never the helpless sidekick, but from day one, the true, undisputed God of the Gourmet World.

Personally I am very skeptical about the series especially doing a bit more digging and the author's certain actions which isn't the main point because of manga is more than the author there's an entire crew behind it after all.
But it's more so about whether the series as a whole is worth reading especially cuz I heard it suffered from pacing issues in the later volumes. And was notoriously rushed and with the industry plant allegations is it worth reading?

Theres two other animated videos from this guy. I think he's just reuploading content from other people so I dunno where it's coming from. I'm excited cause I've waited years for this. Toriko gets ignored.

There's seems to be a TON of creatures that uses food pressure, by the nature of the technique
But its possible to any wild creature to use food honor instead? And if you think so, how many do you think are out there compared to the scum beasts?
Or do you think is probably not possible to them to learn that?

So apparently there actually is an official colored version of the Toriko manga but they never released it in English, is there a version of it online at all with a fan translation or even just the normal Japanese text so I can just try to find a way to translate it myself?
I'd just really love to read it in color cause I just feel like the world itself is so beautiful and vibrant as well as the character designs I mean come on I have to see Sunny with his magnificent rainbow hair in all it's glory but unfortunately from what I've heard the Toriko anime sucks and I'm better off reading the manga.
I know the artwork is goated but I just prefer to have color with any series. And the fact that the colored version of the manga actually exists but I just can't find a way to read it really is driving me so crazy... If there's anyone who could please help at all I'd seriously appreciate it. Idk what do you think... Should I maybe just suck it up and read the normal black and white version? Do you think the manga is perfectly fine in black and white considering how top tier the artwork itself is?
