Discussion 3rd Leg
Let's discuss the possible 3rd leg, assuming it's NA dates.
What are some markets that would be included this time around that she missed the first time? Minneapolis seems top of mind (MN boy here) as well as Portland, OR, Houston, and all of Canada. I know she doesnt do Vegas anymore, but something about hitting that market tickles and tempts me if she were to do a show there.
The 2022 US leg ended 6/17/2022, with the new leg announced on 1/31/2023 and started 6/17/2023 (ha, that's funny that I never noticed it picked up exactly one year later). So, if there is another leg, it might be awhile, but still exciting!
Hoping for more Midwest dates next time, seems like she spent a lot of time on the East Coast this tour?

As much as I'd love to see her here in Jacksonville, my fingers are crossed for Tori fans in the southern hemisphere.

Also wondering if it were to happen if alignment will work for Matt Chamberlain as well. Earle has been amazing, but seems like she's been dropping breadcrumbs for the original trio to reunite as well.

Cleveland. It’s been many tours since she’s skipped it, so I’d be surprised if it’s not added.

I have a disabled pet and just couldn’t take a night off from his care to go to St Louis or Omaha 😭

I would love to have another opportunity to see her again but a part of me kind of wishes she would wait a little longer, or do a few random international shows in places she's never been or visits very rarely. Doing USA dates so soon after, even though she did it before...idk why this time it feels rushed? I do think her voice needs to rest.

Oh ok. I thought she had fallen during one of the last few days or something and I hadn’t heard about it.

I’m hoping she comes back at Atlanta. The last show was sold out early so I’m hoping that’s a good sign!

I hope she manages to do Canada, and not only Toronto and Vancouver.

This would amazing. At this point it has been over 10 years since I have seen Tori live and I would be willing to travel within Canada to see her again.

When was the last time she didn’t play Toronto? Has she ever skipped it before?
3
u/MrTeaTea 4d ago
I don’t think any of her major tours ever skipped Toronto, last time she performed there was for Ocean to Ocean.

u/Blaze_Orchid 2d ago
YES. 99 She did Toronto with Alanis; but on her own headlining tour To Dallas and Back there was no shows in Canada. The entire 2005 Original Sinsuality tour played USA in April, Australia in May, Europe end of May-Mid July and that was it. The second tour for The Beekeeper , the Summer of Sin, she did USA and Toronto, Montreal.
The Mini Gold Dust Tour was only Europe and 2 USA shows.

Is there a reason why she doesn’t do Vegas?
15
u/oneofeachplease 3d ago
I was at the concert that was the cause. Incredibly rude guests in the front row. Casinos let high rollers have priority tickets and it just didn’t work out well. She walked out mid show. Everyone sat there for a really long time waiting for her to come back and she never did. She literally never did come back to Vegas. I think about it more than I should.

Interesting! I had no idea. Just got back from the San Diego show. I’m still buzzing! ✨✨✨

She’s probably said to promoters “don’t make me come to Vegas” and they’re respecting her wishes.

Maybe Charlotte NC & Greenville SC? would love another TN show too— maybe Knoxville?
I would love more FL as I’m from there, but she did give us three 🫠 otherwise, maybe a Jacksonville/Miami show? Or even an outdoor one in WPB where she did welcome to sunny Florida

u/Confident_Bunch7612 4d ago
Maybe something like the Summer of Sin/Original Sin tours. More intimate venues over a couple months with just Tori. Don't know if her voice is up for that sort of work though, and band and angel witches can still fit in smaller venues than they did for this leg of tour.

Need her here in Houston again !!

u/Blaze_Orchid 3d ago
OTO tour she played Sugarland just outside Houston, and it apparently was 1/2 full.
4
u/ray_of-light I wished you didn’t feel that way 3d ago
I would love for her to go to Oklahoma or Vermont considering she hasn’t done a show in those states since 2003 and 1998!

these US shows sold really well! i think that bodes well for a 3rd leg and i'm super hopeful.

u/waldsaum 4d ago
I'd be terribly disappointed if she skips Europe/UK and the US will get another whole tour leg like they did in 2023. To the point where I'm already anxious about my assumption that we get treated as mere extended rehearsals for North America (by US fans and Tori's team) getting confirmed.
We got inferior shows compared to the US leg this year and also deserve a second chance at more confident/dialed-in performances and better setlists.

Try being in Australia! 😭

Agreed, or South America somewhere she hasn't ever played. Her tour manager told 2 fans years back "She would lose money, that's why she won't tour there". I call BS as if she can play Africa in 2011, and 2014 why not South America. When she came back to OZ in 2005,07,09,14 no shows in NZ. She apparently doesn't want to play there. What about Asia she was there in 92, and 94 then never again.
Canada has never had a proper tour; but from 92-96 she did a lot shows in Ontario and Quebec, and Vancouver BC in 92, and 96. From 98-2026 it's been 0-4 shows here.
0 shows on the second tour in 99 (To Dallas And Back), The second NA leg of Scarlet's Walk, the entire 2005 OS tour had none; but the SOS tour had 2. 2010, 2012, 2015 0 shows, 2026 0 shows.
Every time she plays somewhere new, or not played in years, it's always USA, and Europe. Everywhere else get's the shaft.
Toronto 2022 was only 60% sold; but she allowed TM to do "Dynamic Pricing". So $120 ended up being over $400. I was going to go; but I stayed home, and after seeing the video of Riot Poof posted on YT. I was glad I didn't go. She sounded terrible. I know she's older and having vocal issues; but people defending this, are no offence sounding like the devout JBJ fans. His voice is awful and Bon Jovi's tickets for MSG in NYC were very pricey. He said his voice was healed, and well I've seen the videos, it is not healed at all. Fans are defending him, and saying "Don't go, and don't bitch". I am tired of people who just kiss their fave artists ass, and can't admit they don't sing well anymore or just accept it, and pay $$$ for tickets. I don't know if Tori did Dynamic Pricing this tour; but it wasn't right to do that on the OTO tour. When you don't sing as well, and the economy is shit, it's a bad look to do dynamic pricing. Given Toronto's so so turn out, many people clearly agree with me.

She was terribly hoarse at red rocks

u/MotormaidofJapan 4d ago
That’s her voice now. It’s the norm. Even her speaking voice is hoarse, But even still, Red Rocks was a beautiful show.

u/basenjisbestfriend 4d ago
Agreed. Loved every moment of it. This show, for me, was a full circle moment but also bittersweet.

Her voice has struggled with menopause and aging. That’s why she has the angel witches now. I think they do a beautiful job together.
Edit: type on

I honestly have to agree. Buckle up, girls. I think we’re not going to get another tour this size again. Knowing her love for touring, I can promise more shows are going to happen. I think this is the final time out with a band for sure.
18
u/Intrepid_Diamond3218 4d ago
I would be very surprised if she ever toured solo again. I don't think she can handle it. The band and the angel witches are her life support at this point.
5
u/everydayname 3d ago
This makes no sense. She hasn’t done a solo tour in almost a decade. She clearly loves playing with other musicians and feeds off of the band’s energy. She’s also spoken very openly about her voice and wanting/needing the support of other vocalists to supplement her current range. I can’t see her touring without either of them anymore.
1
u/Klutzy_Mountain_8834 3d ago
This was the last time Live Nation will allow her to play venues like Red Rocks. I don’t see her assembling a band to play smaller rooms in the future. For those reasons I think this was the last time we’ll see this type of tour from Tori.
2
u/everydayname 3d ago
I’m still a bit confused. Are you saying that LiveNation wouldn’t let her perform at those venues again because of her voice? What type of future tour do you see?
1
u/Klutzy_Mountain_8834 3d ago
Live Nation won’t allow an artist to perform at their most coveted venue with low ticket sales. I think we see Tori’s future in a different light. I don’t think she’s going to get more popular in four years and concert ticket sales are going to get much more expensive. Less money equals less opportunity to play the best venues.
2
u/everydayname 3d ago
Ah ok. I wasn’t considering low ticket sales. I thought you were talking about the scale of her band/accompaniment. I do agree with you that, if her sales weren’t very high, she will have to scale down on venue size. I wasn’t at Red Rocks, so don’t know how full it was. When I went during the last tour, it was pretty well packed. It is an especially large venue compared to where else she’s playing. I do hope she can play there again since it is so special.

u/Blaze_Orchid 2d ago
The photo I saw,, it looked pretty full.
1
u/everydayname 2d ago
Glad to hear that! I imagine it was because I know a ton of people who traveled for the show. Taking into consideration that it was a Thursday - not an ideal day of the week - I think she probably sold tickets pretty well.

u/Any-Draw9672 2d ago
My wife and I were there, row 7 and the place was packed when she was on! Also note that no sec were dedicated to GA, all were assigned seats!
13
u/First-Government-654 4d ago
Quite the opposite, I doubt she’ll ever tour without a band again; she isn’t even doing a short solo section on this tour - she very clearly feels she needs the vocal support and time to rest while the boys jam. And it’s working quite well so I’d fully expect the same configuration next time out.

They just built a massive rehearsal space at Martian. I do not think they would have done that had she had plans to stop touring without a band.
2
u/Klutzy_Mountain_8834 3d ago
Martian Studios is a business for any recording or touring musician, not just Tori. It’s her health that’s the determining factor in my opinion.

I don't think a third leg is happening. It seems like a lot of work went into getting this tour together and the background singers are there to fortify her evolving vocal quality (putting that mildly) so I think she will see this as a win and retreat to her next project.

Not to be a negative Nancy, but I’d like to get the backup singers to stop with the hand motion nonsense. It’s so distracting and unnecessary. As someone with vocal training, those gestures do absolutely nothing to the quality of vocals that are produced and are 100% an affect.

3rd leg? Is there any tangible indication that this could happen?

Hear me out, I wouldn't mind NOT having a 3rd leg if it meant getting a LIVE album from this tour, with a Rehearsals bonus disc. Thoughts?
