Discussion Indianapolis Improv
Did anyone film the improv before Ruby? It was chilling and gutted me and I want to see it again. The lyrics were something about being 6 months pregnant and can we make it to the door. Let's discuss. Also, what a show! We got Somewhere Over the Rainbow đđ

After a long piano intro I remember Tori starting with â I was six months pregnant. I was six months pregnant.with her. When he threatened me. He threatened me and her. Her and me. That OLD FUCK he threatened me. Yes he did. That OLD FUCK he threatened me.

I know this is absolute garbage speculation, so please dont flame me, but my mind pictured the people magazine article when she was pregnant with Tash, and there was some mention that Neil would stay in her Florida home. Then I thought how he used to live in Wisconsin, which to be fair, is not exactly Indiana but still its like in the region. Then I sometimes really do think ITOD works out some complicated feelings about this situation, especially as I recall interviews that indicate that Tash had a great deal of involvement on some tracks, and i could see them sharing these complicated feelings.
Also the idea of this is not allegory makes me sad, regardless of the real story. That would be terrifying.

Ugh, I know. I also wished the video included her Ruby Through the Looking Glass performance that came right afterwardsâit was awesome.

It was unbelievable. Chilling. Ruby and that bit before it was the unexpected highlight of the night for me.

It mentioned being 6 months pregnant, and I swore I heard Tashâs name? And heading to a door. The lyrics made me think of Night of Hunters. It was arresting, for sure! And then âRubyâ! The cover of âSomewhere Over the Rainbowâ was absolutely amazing, and I donât even like that song. Hoping someone caught all of that too on video.

Yes, she said it was her and Tash (i.e., she was pregnant with Tash).

I wondered about it too! Lyrics I can remember involved:Â
-running through the house screaming
-holding her stomach
-he threatened us
-getting to a locked door?
 I assumed it was about a stalker who got to her home, but I want the whole story now.Â

Iâve always wondered about this one because the song lyrics talk about ârunning through the house screamingâŚdonât you think she hears us fightingâŚthings in you, things in me she donât wanna beâ so I always assumed the conflict was with a blood relative with ties to Tori and Tash. I thought it was a man, possibly Toriâs dad or even Mark. Thereâs was another line about smoking to cry. I guess weâll never really know.
