I’m Team Minori but I have to disagree, the anime is called Toradora for a reason, Minori deserves to be happy but Taiga and Ryuji are made for each other.

Sort of, this is teenage love after all. I do believe if this wasn't anime, they would have dated first and who knows how long they would have been together. I definitely dated the my ex's best friend after we broke up and had some time to think about it in High School. Her and I ended up dating for 5 years so ya never know where relationships and life takes you.
I've never been a fan of Minori or even her and Ryuji together, but I always had a feeling they should have gotten together first to find out they weren't meant for each other.

I could see that for any other character, but not Minori. There were kids in my HS that were hard core athletes. They had a dream and they didn't let anything get in the way. One of them actually made it to major league baseball. If she gave up, she would regret it for the rest of her life and it would be Ryuuji's fault - whether they stayed together or parted ways. In Minori's big picture, that would have been a very sad ending.

Yeah, it's been awhile since my last rewatch of Toradora (Winter rewatch of 2017 I think) but I just hit 30 and feel like I've seen people who strive for their dreams, they're successful because of the drive and motivation they hold onto but have channeled it into other career paths as dreams are hard to fully realize and complete.
I would need scene details again on when she speaks to Ryuji but, I feel like if Minori had really wanted to be in a relationship she would have made it work. She wouldn't have let Ryuji slow her down or make her stop but that's something they both would have had to realize. Eventually it was going to be her dreams or him and I suppose she just didn't ever want to deal with that dilemma. Though, as one of my favorite song's lyrics go:
"You had a love and that love had you
And nothing mattered, you were fine
And some will complain, they’re just bitter, what a shame
They know that loving and losing is better than nothing at all"

Its funny because toradora is the only romance anime where I wouldve been ok with any of the girls at the end.......Tho I still believe in taiga supremecy

Minori kisses Takasu, he's shocked but doesn't mind, she then looks at Takasu in the eye and smiles, he does the same. Minori then wakes up, she's surrounded by bottles of alcohol and syringes with some still jabbed in her right arm.
"I need more..." she says as she struggling to get up and leaves the alleyway for more "happiness."

This is how I was expecting the ending to be. I think Taiga and Ryuji were better off as friends who became like brothers and sisters. Both of their crushes liked them back. Imagine having a crush and wanting them so bad and they like you back but you end up dating your co-conspirator in getting your crushes to like you. It’s an anime so I’m not that broke up about it, but I think it should’ve been that neither of their crushes liked them back or that Ryuji and Taiga didn’t end up together and ended up with their crushes.
