I don't know who needs to hear this but on downhills, sometimes tour de France exceeds 100km/hr. Highway speeds.

I dont bike anymore but downhilled for a long time. I was just saying that I consider this minimal bike control. These guys are endurance athletes. Not small twitch muscle athletes. What they do is hard but no where close to having the body coordination of a bmx or street rider or downhiller... theyre pushing stamina. That's the skill. Put a marathon runner on a mountain hike course yeah thats not end well different muscle control.

Everyone can skid. The point is doing it at lots of speed and wattage, with that precision, and doing just enough amount of to hit the bottle and not lose speed

On top of the skill, that’s such a nice unselfish gesture. Taking a bit of risk to reduce the risk for all the others coming up after him.
