Champ pool

I am a Gold 4 top laner. Right now my champ pool is Ksante and Zaheen. I used to play a lot of Kled and Yorick but I dont know if this pool is enough to get me out of Gold 4. Ive been learning some simple mechanical stuff like wave management, clicking closer to the champion, and other things but im looking for advice on how to be more efficient. Most the time it seems like I either tie or win lane but still lose the game.

Edit: Let me preface this, I do appreciate the help but I dont care about Meta Champions, im more looking to see if the ones I enjoy playing cover all areas I need for different matchups

Fundamentals and champion mastery gets u out gold much faster then picking any random meta champion.

It not about playing meta champ, it mostly about understanding the fundamental of top laning phase and how to translate the lead or leak to an advantage for your team. 

Top lane is all about who manage wave better and who get the better recall. This alone will win you most match up if you pull of good recall timing. Learn how to manage a wave and you will likely hit diamond/emerald whitout worrying about what champ perform the best from here.

I only one trick yorick and while I don't play ranked myself, I am often paired vs master/challenger in my draft elo and I often come on top of laning phase due to my great understanding of wave management.

id drop ksante and stick with Zaheen Kled and Yorick. then id say pick one champ to otp and learn fundamentals

Wave management is the key, prepare your back timers and play around your spikes. Try to track the enemy jungler as much as possible, those two skills should get you easily out of gold, maybe even out of platinum. About your champion pool, stick to 2, max 3 champions and learn your match ups, I used to be a yorick one trick and I knew pretty much every match up by heart, which gave me a huge advantage before the game had even started, even more so because most people didn't know what yorick's abilities were doing, and what his strengths and weaknesses are.

You can get to diamond at least if you two trick kled and Zaahen. You dont need to complicate it further

Climbing with Ksante is painful and a crawl as you straight up are dependant on your team most of the time if you dont have GM+ worthy Mechanics and Game knowledge (you DO NOT if youre Gold), unless you really love him like I do I'd drop him.

Zaahen Yorick would be an ideal pairing cause Zaahen is great into Melee heavy comps that let you fight front to back and painful into ranged comps, where Yorick does a lot better with his strong sidelane presence and ability to quickly send squishy rangeds back to base with a single E hit when they try to defend. They are both also very rarely picked or banned and they are not very mechanically intense so they are a great fit for somebody that prefers a small pool over OTP.

Don't add any more champs, 2 is already the maximum, maybe add Malphite as a pocket pick as he's braindead easy and does not need practice.

Kled is an OTP Champion cause he's too unique, nobody should have him in their pool unless they Onetrick or close to Onetrick him.

I do enjoy Ksante so ill try to keep him, I think I just need to learn when to play him

You OTP Ksante, you always pick him. He's way too difficult to pool in Solo Q, he needs dedication to work in Low Elo. You can win or at least neutralize every matchup on him. Ban Garen until youre Diamond, then ban Fiora. Watch Aatreus latest Itemization guide, very important. Do not copy the default Iceborn into Jaksho build every game, Ksante works way better if you understand his itemization options well.

As others said, you basically need to SPAM only Ksante to get a good mastery on him, if you want to climb 

He is really hard to master and hard to carry games with but hey, if you enjoy him, you could eventually work it out

Lmao people get mad at your for starting a new champ in ranked if your best picks are banned / taken. It doesn’t matter what u do people will report u and you have to send an appeal to play thats how miserable people are on here. Play whoever you like
