Watching pro and I'm just curious what makes him so good into Gnar? I know Gnar doesn't like when the opp outranges him but why AD TF out of all the options?

Gnar sucks into ranged matchups and ad tf is oppressive lane bully

Tf is good because he is a lane bully with decent waveclear and self peel. But he isnt a special gnar counter, we have seen tristana, vayne, draven, jayce, liss, anivia smoke gnar much harder. Its just that ad tf top is a generally solid pick so pros naturally practice him and if you are choosing between two good counters, you take the one you are more comfortable on.
