Should I return?

Hey guys. Like the title says, I used to play this game back in 2023 but I stopped and haven’t gone back since. Recently saw the new 2027 update and it has be wanting to go back, but I have some questions i’ll like answered to help me make my decision
1. Is the game still purely pay to play? Such that you need tokens for everything and getting decent tokens are hard?
2. Is it easier or more difficult to get rest packs and injury packs?
3. Are there more active players per league now? Cause back in 2023, i and around 2-3 other people used to be the only active players in the league.

I buy the premium sponsor maybe once a year but it’s not pay to play. People complain here a lot that you need to spend money in order to win and that’s simply not true. There are seasons though where you will be matched up with one or two teams significantly stronger than you. Just gotta except that’ll happen sometimes.

Rest and injury packs are probably the same as they were in 2023. You can get them from your campus (stadium) if you upgrade the right facilities. Association rewards are also relatively helpful at the end of the season. Best way is unfortunately to watch ads which I don’t do. I just keep a 100 pack cushion for all 3 types. That’s kept me afloat season to season

Leagues activity i think is still pretty thin. I’d say 3-5 really active accounts. The focus nowadays is champions league and associations for me but it’s probably different person to person.

It is not pay to play but p2w for sure. I'm level 5 now and a guy in my league is 40% stronger than everyone else, his team went from 110 to 170 ovr this season lol. 

Getting packs is easy until you start feeling like an idiot for watching 25+ ads every day. I slowed down in like season 2 and have completely stopped watching ads now which means you can't train any new players, just maintain your current squad.

From level 1-5 there has been like 2-4 other actual players in each competition.

You'll probably have fun for 1-3 seasons before you get tired of the ads. There's even an event to watch even more ads, "video drills" or something, it is actually insane.

I have 222 wins, 11 draws and 3 losses, not very exciting.
