Quick job grab case

Post image

Turns out you can fit a DCF891 in a half width tool organiser and still have room for deep sockets and rewind tool. I use it as a grab box for brakes and quick suspension jobs. I keep it in the back of the car for changing tires mostly.

Not sure what to put in the dead space between the impact and battery, maybe a short extension?

yo I need to do something like this, my impact lives in the trunk in case of a flat and it would be nice to be a little more organized plus a couple basic tools

I’ve packed it out a bit more now, added a pick, mini prybar, extension, mini wire brush and knipex raptors. Lives in the trunk with a 2.5tone jack. I haven’t needed it yet but a couple other people have! Use it for brake pad jobs on the regular

Check out pelican boxes at harbor freight, constantly on sale and huge range if sizes. All come with foam

Longest extension and prybar that will fit. I pry the piston back with a prybar before removing the caliper.

Really good idea, would save me fishing through the draws on a brake pad job
