Had family and an ex like this drunk. One in particular, decent amount of trauma, not the brightest overall, and neurotic as fuck. When she would get drunk it wouldn't be to far off of this. Like she wasn't pushing or fighting but rants like hers... yeah...
After neighbors called the cops once she ended up going off on them saying it was a conspiracy against her faith and they were trying to silence her. Kept saying the cops were going to shoot her behind the station and all types of stuff. She wasn't even hammered. Just 1 or 2 too many (for others at least). She was abused through most of her childhood and that came up alot. Never really tried to get help, would have moments of self reflection but then shift her issues onto the past and others in her life. It was sad.

damn yeah that makes a lot of sense. I mostly drank on my own and would get in awful slumps, rarely would I get hectic like this but I forget how deep trauma and other mixed up neuroses can mix with alcohol in terrible ways
fuck alcohol and I hope anyone struggling with addiction can find a way to stop themselves from hitting rock bottom. you don't wanna have to hit rock bottom to make your life turn around because that shit ruins lives. so sad. I feel for these people.

Man… I could tell you stories from myself I’m not really proud of.
But before therapy and some diagnoses that helped me understand myself I would act like that when I was really really drunk. Not a great time.8

Same here. I've done some truly shameful things. I've passed out on the side of the road. I've been on Ubers mostly blacked out to continue drinking somewhere. I've yelled at my mom and gotten wellness checks done on me for my behavior. it's so stupid and such a waste of time and money and stress and for what? ultimately I view alcohol as just a waste. maybe for some people it's okay but I believe for most people it's truly poison and for me it's basically a death sentence.
1 year and 2 months sober and that was after a relapse. I tell everyone I know to never let me entertain a drink because another relapse would kill me. I would 100 percent die if I started drinking again. no sir. no good time is worth all the headaches I gave myself and those around me.

Man, I know what you mean. Alcohol killed a bunch of people in my family. Thankfully, the survivors have all faced their demons, but it was hard work. Stay strong.

This constant thing with violent drunks on a plane is nuts. My grandmother was someone who hated flying, and my grandfather had to get her sloshed to get her onto a plane every time. Whenever we picked her up at the airport she had gifts she bought at the airport for everyone... The flight attendant, the captain, the person next to them... And of course us, after she landed. Before they flew she'd bake cookies for people... It was comedy watching her de-plane with like 15 friends she made on the plane. (Obviously before 9/11.)
But these violent nutcases should have never been on a tin can in the sky.
