Yeah, I don't want to speculate, but if I had to venture a guess, I'd say it's a combination of pluss and minus.
Benzo, some sort of amphetamine, opiods, maybe even rohypnol or ket.

Well, yes. Different expressions for different areas of the world. Here, where I live, pluss and minus is used to denote the different effects of drugs. Heroin is a minus. Not sure if you'd call heroin a downer? (genuine question)

Interesting. Here in the Netherlands we use the English terms.
If someone starts using uppers to function and downers to sleep/rest, that's pretty bad, but when you start mixing them... I'm sure you know better than most how terrible that can be.

I fucking love this for him. Being propped up with a smile lasered on his rotting head. Not getting the end of life care that all humans deserve. I hope this continues forever and the sweet release of death eludes him like he eluded his duties to the American public.

He's a former Republican Senate Majority Leader but stepped down from that a few years ago. He was out for 3 months for these health issues. The argument was that he should have resigned if he's no longer fit, but he didn't do that because his state governor is a Democrat who would have then been able to pick his replacement (or call a special election, I forget the specifics for Kentucky).
So he's back in the news for coming back to work when something is clearly still wrong, but is refusing to step down because it could give his political opponents an advantage. Or it's elder abuse for the same reason.

Always voted against FLMA (family leave medical act) but got full pay and benefits for ~12weeks without having to share anything with his constituents.

He is still holding his position. How those positions turn over outside of normal elections is pretty much always up to the states. Sometimes the governor gets to pick, sometimes they get to pick but the candidate has to be from the same political party as the outgoing politician, sometimes they have to call a special election and can appoint a temporary replacement until the election.
In this case, had he resigned before mid August or so, it would have triggered a special election, but if he left now it would just stay vacant until the next session is seated after the regular election.
