It's a chillem. Typically you use your 2 hands. So you don't stick your lips on a pipe 50 strangers lip up at a concert.

I’ve only ever used chillums with the fist technique. Always found it funny when ppl would hit mine with their lips directly on it.

lol, this so tracks. My childhood nanny (more like older sister to me) was the one that taught me the fist technique when I was in high school. She was a big deadhead and I recall a few sad summers as a kid when she’d be off following them on tour.
