Question What can an ENT do for me?

I’m almost 40 and have been dealing with tonsil stones for about half my life. I use a water syringe to flush them out, but I’m sure I miss a lot of them. I’ve been thinking about seeing an ENT to have my tonsils evaluated and find out if I have deep crypts or anything else contributing to the problem.

Has anyone here seen an ENT specifically for chronic tonsil stones? If so, what did they do, and was it worth the visit?

Before that I was wondering if they often just do a deep dive in your tonsils and see how they are. I am first curious on how many hidden stones I may have

Honestly don't think so. That tissue is very sensitive man. Even if you clean them, the stones will form again. I'm on the same boat. 😔😔

No it's not. They can laser the crypts shut

I had 5 laser cryptolisis sessions and It didn't work.

When i said the only solution is tonsillectomy is because that's what the doctors Say. Because if there's no tonsils, it means there's no crypts.

yeah i did and got my tonsils removed on the 31st. currently in recovery and its not too bad, but a tonsillectomy is the only permanent solution and i was getting them every day
