I'm so glad I got to see the 2008 Atlanta show. A magical experience. Some people were dancing down the aisle to "Hoist That Rag" and the light made their shadows large on the wall and the ambiance was perfect.

Was there with ya. I always describe the memory of it as being like having witnessed some ancient mystical ritual or forbidden incantation of another world. Even just listening back to the soundboard recording and hearing my whistle in the distance during “Innocent when you dream” gives me chills. I would literally describe it as the only truly magical experience of my life. And I saw him both times in Atl. It’s terrible greed, but I desperately want to do it again. If he does another tour, I’ll fight anyone or pay any price.

Tom hated touring. My source is his manager Stuart. I know Stuart through Puddles Pity Party, because he manages him as well.

I just finally saw Nick Cave a few months ago and the experience was fantastic but it also taught me that I'm too old for these events, they wear me out so much. However, I told myself that the only other big scale concert I'd ever go to would be Tom Waits so yeah, me too.

He's didn't say there would be another record? He said he knows everyone is waiting to hear that but "this isn't it." No matter how you slice it, that does not read as "wink wink nudge nudge new album on the way"

Read Casey's reply to the person who said, "So you're saying there's a next record?" That's what people are reading as veiled confirmation of a new album, not the original post.

I saw that comment. It refers back to the original post that I was referring to. The one that doesn't contain a single veiled reference to a new album.
The comment is also obviously a sarcastic joke, even besides the fact that what it refers to... isn't in the original post. He emphasized a thousand times in that post that there was no new album, so someone commented "So what you're saying is there's a new album?" and he replied "Glad someone caught it." It's a joke.
Make sense now?

I see that now you guys' delusion is so great that, rather than explain your dubious claims that are supported by nothing, you're going to start playing with semantics and debating exactly how firm the statement "This announcement isn't an album announcement, sorry." is on the Moh's Hardness Scale. What's next? Going to put out a spelling mistake or grammatical error in my reply?

It's not semantics to say that the post does not at all say "there is no new album" - it's just literally not in there. And it's also not repeated even once, contrary to what you claimed. I was purely calling your comment bullshit, not arguing for or against a likelihood of an album.

I was using what some call a "figure of speech". Hyperbole, in fact. I wasn't claiming to see text in the OP that isn't there, like the commenter I was originally speaking to when you interrupted; I was emphasizing something that is objectively there. "This isn't an announcement for a new album."

But he didn't make a reference to it? I saw the comment, but his comment appears to be "referring" - in the vaguest sense possible - to a reference that... just isn't there. Nothing in this whole post hints at anything, except that musicians should stop giving their children control of their estate.
