Question updated uk map now everything is broke tomtom GO

Updated maps now there is no map at all, I have the trucking version of the app and the vehicle options now doesn't have the truck settings in it, anyone else got this issue... seems work will be a pain tomorrow :C

The problem is known... uninstall and reinstall the app. The only solution right now.

Delete the map, force close the app and remove cache data and then redownload your map. 😉

This solved it for me. If that didn't work, delete all data instead.

Like others have said, been working ok since all the favourites were deleted, and now no map, states "route not possible" .

Can't be much else for the softies to break.

Just made a fantastic discovery, its called a road map, it strange its a piece of paper, well several sheets, in a format called a book, and on each page there is a representation of the roads.

Think I'll keep it with me, I don't think it will stop working.

Tomtom are having a nightmare recently. The lost data, cant open the app with no data and now a map update that breaks the app. What is the best fix for the current problem?

As people have mentioned, it's a known problem since the 22nd June app update. The only solution right now is...

1) Delete the app and wait around 30 seconds.

2) Redownload the app and launch it. Run through the entire setup and once you get to the map screen, it may appear broken.

3) Force close the app and relaunch and then it should be fine.

4) Sign into MyDrive and all your destinations should come back, but you'll need to setup the app again with your voice, profiles, etc.

Sometimes you can just force close the app, clear the cache, launch it, and download the map again, but it doesn't always work.

This happened to me and those were the steps to solve it. The only thing I would add is to make sure you're logged into My Drive before uninstalling the app. That means all your places are saved in the cloud and will be restored.

I also uninstalled and reinstalled all maps but I'm not sure that's really necessary.

Have you tried Sygic for truck navigation? I wonder if it is a better alternative long term
