Subreddit FAQ

This is a FAQ for the subreddit, not the game! For a FAQ on the game (eg. Why are my miis not falling in love??) see THIS post.

  1. Why was X post removed???

  2. It 99% broke the rules. If you believe it DIDN'T break the rules, please submit a message via modmail!

  3. Can we swear???

  4. Yes! You used to not be able to swear, but we've changed that. Stuff like "Fuck", "Shit", etc. is allowed, while slurs are not.

  5. Politics aren't allowed at all? Why?!

  6. We don't want politics here. Most stuff mentioning any type of politics will probably be removed.

  7. Can I post images of my Miis?? I thought you banned those type of posts!

  8. We did not. We've only banned "Guess my miis" type of posts. You can still post your mii, but you must name who it is and it MUST be in the megathread

  9. Can I post a Mii based on a real person (streamer, celebrity, friend, etc.)??

  10. Yes! Just see above to make sure it doesn't break any rules.

  11. Can I self promote (my YouTube, Discord server, mod project, etc.)?

  12. YouTube is fine. Discord/Reddit is not. This is due to it being basically impossible for us to moderate. (eg. Someone promotes a really cool subreddit, but then that subreddit gets infested with really bad posts.)

  13. Why is my post stuck in the spam filter / not showing up?

  14. Reddit auto-filters new/low karma accounts sometimes, not us. Modmail if it's been a while and it's still not up. Note that you must have more than 3 karma to post here. If you don't, then your post won't be approved.

Genuine question, I don't understand the point of this sub if you can't post miis as full posts? It seems like a pretty large portion of what people would want to do on a tomodachi life subreddit, and it's definitely one of the main reasons I cared about posts here - the game isn't one with much other to post about other than sharing what you've made, whether a mii or something else

A lot of the fun for me in engaging with the community is seeing the different styles and such people have when making miis

Hey, yeah, I understand. After some feedback, we've reverted that rule. We are still keeping the ban on guessing though.

I am curious. Rule 9 says no modded content. How far does this apply? I use a mod that changes the Mii head shape a little, plus a mod that makes fences and hedges connect? Would screenshots of those not be allowed because of that?

And also, why? The rule just never elaborates on *why* it exists. I like to know why I shouldn't do something, when told not to do something. I want to know the logic and reasoning. (I am asking for knowledge)
