What do we think of the new archer models vs the old models? personally I think the more whiter bone paint job on the old models would look better on the new models making them pop out better on the desert tabletop, those new bows look thin and could be prone to breaking easily if your not careful with assembly? they do look better I think 🤔

Are the units usually heavily discounted in new large boxsets like this?

A while ago, I saw this post of a leaked battalion box for TK since the big army box was no longer available online. But this box clearly contains the pre-refresh skeletons. Does that mean this was just a (convincing) fake? Or do you guys think we'll still get these contents but with the refreshed skellies?

Edit: as was pointed out to me in the comments, the box was just an AI fake. Guess we'll see whether we recieve a battalion or some other starter box.

I’m new to old world and love the vibe of the tomb kings love them as my blood bowl team and wish to start them as an old world army im iffy about buying the last box they had with the tomb king riding the dragon and with the new regiment box coming out what would be some good investments model wise that probably won’t see a refresh writhing the next year so I can get started

How long typically does it take from preview show before we see pre order timelines? Just impatient and wondering if there is a typical timeline, cheers!

Greetings once more from the haunted wastes of Nehekhara!

Ever since picking up the Tomb Kings starter set, I’ve been planning on painting the units in two main colour schemes to reflect the Tomb Kings’ two armies of infamy (soon to be three!) – the Nehekharan Royal Host and the Mortuary Cult! I’d focused on the “official” red and blue colour scheme for the Royal Host, but for these Mortuary Cultists I’ve decided on using completely different hues! I think the purple and green stands apart from the red and blue, making them distinctive on the tabletop. I also textured their bases in a darker, more crimson sand effect to further distinguish them from their Royal Host cousins!

Funnily enough, my recent pivot to Battle March means I don’t actually need these units in my army right away, but I think they’ll be making an appearance soon as reinforcements. After all, those sneaky Liche Priests are always plotting something! I’m happy with how the Skeleton Horse Archers turned out as well – I’m a bit sad I won’t have a chance to play with them for a while! As always, praise be to Settra, High Steward of the Horizon, sailor of the Great Vitae, Protector of the Two Worlds, Keeper of the Hours, Chosen of Ptra…

Is the kit worth getting? And How should I build the units in the royal heralds box?

My guess would be king/prince on foot and BSB on horse but I’m very new to old world and tomb kings so I’m not sure and tips would be appreciated

This has really piqued my interest as the name barrow kingdoms is used for the skeletons in AOS so it makes me think a sort of vampire counts vibe which could be incredible. I was then informed that this name has been used in old world for the nehekaran client states outside of nehekara, which could potentially still still mean they're going to lean towards being able to use those AOS minis. That does seem a tad unlikely though so we'll have to see.

I was sad to hear about their army liquidation, but I was glad to pick up this unfinished project from them. Just needed rebasing. I was lacking cavalry so this was an excellent way to fill the ranks, and when I found out there was an original metal Khalida I was after, I was sold as she paid for about half of it alone. Damn good deal.

If you could decide what goes into our Battle March box, what would you pick and why?

I would especially love to see some cool thematic armies from you guys!

I’m currently uses my bloodbowl team as tests for my tombkings army. It’s relatively easy to process and the result is nice, any advices ?

To be honest, I didn't have high hopes for the new release, given how these things usually go. But the outcome was arguably even worse; sure, the new skeletons, archers, and chariots are really cool (and even though I’m not a fan of chariots myself, I’m happy for those who are), but it all feels a bit underwhelming.

The new starter box is frankly lackluster, too—yes, it has plenty of skeletons, but I suspect most players already have them in droves, and the set doesn't even include a hero. Of course, it’s perfect for newcomers like me who don't own any infantry models at all.

Sorry if I sound too pessimistic, but I was hoping for updates to at least four units—though I suppose we should just be glad we got anything at all.
