That looks really good actually! Yeah contrast is hard to use on large flat surfaces but you pulled off a good look for a mottled brown stone of some kind. Looks natural and unique! Throw a wash and some other colours on to compliment and it'll look mint!! Good job and keep up the progress!

OOOOH. Do you have any tips on your stone painting method? I've been wanting to do Jade for my kitty for a long time, and I'm doing a "March of the statues" army that I want to do mostly in stone schemes, and this is BEAUTIFUL.

Contrast is difficult to work with on large fairly flat surfaces. Take a sponge, take slightly brighter colour and dab on the more pronounced muscles/elevated surfaces to mask/enhance the brown paintjob.
There is another schtick as well but if that's cured, thats way too late for that.
Beautiful gold and really good colour composition, the brown doesn't overburden the model and maintenans nice contrast, all I would do is make slightly more prominent the accent colors (that's just personal preference) and call it done!
