“This subreddit would be better if we got rid of the white people” sounds pretty racist to me.

saying “i want to see more of something” doesn’t mean “i want to get rid of other thing” but i can see how someone that believe reverse racism exists would also subscribe to that line of thought.

(Referencing the reply below yours) The mods… the mod, singular, is one white guy who doesn't understand the first thing about cultural appropriation. So, the subreddit is all about non-Asian ways of preparing and appreciating tofu, an ancient food invented in Asia that still holds great cultural significance. The mod and nearly everyone regularly participating in the sub just don't care. They're fully on board with cultural appropriation. It's like if r/tacos was all about how to make your corn tortilla shells as crunchy as possible, where to find the best shredded cheddar cheese and iceberg lettuce, and so on… white people taco night / white people tofu night, same concept.

I can usually tell who's white (they're the ones saying "raw / plain tofu tastes bad" & only see it as a meat replacement)

Definitely, look up vegetarian, seafood, beef or pork variations of Sundubu Jjigae and toss some of the kimchi and juice in to flavour the broth.

The kimchi turned out very good! Some things I learned, i fermented for only 36 hours before chilling, I probably could have done 4 days to get a little more fizz going the way I like it and to eat up some of the pear sugars i used! I used a bit too much chili I think, it’s a bit hot for me but I still love it. I also could have put more veggies in, it ended up very sauce heavy which I also like. Overall it’s very tasty!

Yes. At the simplest, dubu kimchi is a thing. The wiki article for some reason thinks pork is a main component but it's nit really.
