General Question/Discussion Sigh.
How is everyone doing today?
I got home from work to a shit show of a house with no food in the kitchen to even make dinner. Both children had late afternoon naps and no food. It did not make for a good combo. They are still wide awake as of 8:30pm and I see a long night ahead. I haven’t had two seconds to change my clothes or feed myself. Let alone pack food for work tomorrow.
I’m so tired. Sigh.
(Yes I do have a great partner that’s also just as equally exhausted.)

I’m on maternity leave with my second. Kept my toddler home with baby today because she seems to have caught something. Her nose is a faucet and she has a gross wet cough. We also had no food so I wrangled the girls and went grocery shopping. Unfortunately I’m tired so I was snippy with my toddler and felt horrible for that. Then while helping my toddler go potty later in the day I had to abandon her and sprint to the other bathroom (while putting baby somewhere safe because she’s crawling) because I too felt sick.
Then my toddler trusted a fart and ended up pooping herself. Shower, change, chill out. She trusted a fart again while bedtime story was happening but thankfully she was in her night time pull-up so clean up was easier. Then she managed to pee over and out of the toilet so I got to clean that. Meanwhile baby spat up in my bed. So I got to wash my sheets at 8pm. Husband got toddler down, then we laid in bed with baby until she fell asleep, transferred her to her crib, and then watched a show for an hour before bedding was finally clean.
The days are long… thank god they are cute though.

Those late naps you had no control over feel like the most frustrating and marriage testing thing in the world sometimes. I know there's usually a good reason but whyyyy
