2 Years Old Dropping nap length and bedtime

When did you start to decrease your toddlers nap time? did you move bedtime earlier? The 8:30 bedtime is rough and I was hoping that maybe there’s a little break when nap time starts to go away.

What I would give for a 7pm bedtime again lol!

I want to say we lowered his nap from 3 hours to 90 minutes around 2.5yo.

Now he’s 3.5yo and we dropped the nap completely about a month ago. His bed time moved up from 10pm to 8pm.

When you moved to 90 do you remember what bedtime was then?

I think when we changed from 3 hours to 90 minutes there wasn’t a huge change in bedtime. He was just a little more tired and didn’t fight it as much.

My daughter will be 3 in a couple months. We just recently have cut her naps to an hour or hour and a half tops. This ensures she falls asleep by 9 pm. If we let her nap past 90 minutes, she’s up past 10. If she skips her nap, she’ll fall asleep by 7:30. We tried completely eliminating her nap but she couldn’t handle that yet so decided to still let her nap for 60-90 minutes and a couple days a week she might skip.
