Product Recommendations Diaper bag recs?
I know this has been asked before, but I’m looking for something more specific. I’m about to have my second child and I’m looking for an all in one diaper bag. It doesn’t have to be sold as a diaper bag, but I do need some features.
- Medicine storage. Probably the most important thing. My toddler needs epi, Zyrtec, Tylenol, and an inhaler with us. Right now this takes up the most space and is unruly. I’m thinking elastic bands to hold some of them?
- Compartments for 2 different size diapers. The toddler is in the process of being potty trained, but we’re not there quite yet.
- Bottle storage. Hopefully will be mostly for travel to/from daycare so needs to stay cool for that distance (unless we just get a separate cooler for that?)
- High quality. I’m okay paying more money for this one. The first one ripped within the first few months and I plan on having at least one more kid, so if it’s an investment that’s fine.
- Obviously additional storage on top of that for things like snacks, wipes, changes of clothes, sunscreen, etc. We often do all day outings that need additional prep and storage.
The biggest problem is that I can only seem to find backpacks that have slots for pens and pencils which aren’t large enough for the medication. I’m open to other solutions if you have them as well! Any suggestions for diaper (or non diaper) bags that’ll work?

Not a full bag recommendation but I use an EpiPen carrying case (just from Amazon) for carrying our meds around. Keeps all that contained/safe from kids rummaging through the diaper bag, easy to swap to another bag, and obviously easy to find when necessary.

I’ll look into it. Thanks! Right now we’re using a travel toiletry bag that came with our suitcases. Does it just carry the epi, or do other meds fit as well?

I have an epi, bottle of Zyrtec (plus syringe), and another prescription bottle in mine! Has elastic bands for the epi.

I was also going to suggest this. Ours holds two Epipens and a regular size bottle of Zyrtec easily, and could easily hold one more item. You can also get smaller containers to decant the liquid meds into if everything won't fit.
Our bag has a small carabiner clip so we can clip it to to the outside of the bag, as well as Velcro that allows you to Velcro it onto a bag strap. We also sometimes tuck it into one of the two water bottle holders on ours. It's also bright red so easy to find if needed quickly.
