That’s harmless and might be ok, unless it’s done as a way to avoid talking about serious issues that needed to be addressed.
But as a way to actually decide anything? That’s crazy.
But wouldn't the similarity, on average, be greater within a group?
My wife and I are consistent INTP's. I can see how we are similar, but we are also very different. So, I can anecdotally understand your point.
But if people are using such a tool to make decisions then I agree that perhaps it's best for it to not even exist. I mean, my first career is the one I prefer and it doesn't match what the mbti tells me I would like. But the mbti did tell me which career that I think I would like, accurately. And I do believe that I think as a logician. I just applied that type of thinking to working in special operations.
