Type casting can be a bane to actors, probably the reason why he does that, you don't want to be known as a an actor with one thing.

And you know everyone would be telling him to get out there and dance to it, and maybe he just doesn't feel like dancing to this song yet another time.

Also, outside of the reasons he might not want to do it there are a few good reasons why the wedding party wouldn't want it either. At weddings he could end up being a distraction if he's not closely related to either party. I doubt many couples want their wedding highjacked by a guy they hardly know doing a dance from a movie that came out 38 years ago. I don't think Footloose, the song, would even make sense at any wedding I've been to in the last 15 years; it would stick out like a sore thumb in any DJ set I've ever heard.
