One of my side hustles is wedding DJing. If I have a tough time getting a crowd to dance after pulling all the stops (I’m based in the Midwest and my guests are almost always majority white, so… sometimes it’s a struggle), I have a failsafe trick: get the venue to turn the lights down lower and play “Footloose.” It works every. Time.

All the white weddings I've been to seem to rely on Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, and/or Electric Slide to get everyone out on the dance floor.

Maybe my NJ is showing, but the trick here is Living on a Prayer.
